SWOT Analysis

SWOT analysis is an acronym for Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats it is a planning method used often by a business to evaluate whether it is a good idea for a project or idea they have. Strengths: An advantage the business will have to go through with the idea and tells them what will be positive about it. Weaknesses: Factors that could put the business in a position with a disadvantage and gives negatives of the idea. Opportunities: Things that could give the business a potential advantage. Investing in films script  Hello, we are going to talk to you today about the different ways a product can be funded. The question that people often ask is, why invest in films? You could get 25 years with huge uplift potential, Appear as a film extra and attend VIP events and get named in the film credits. The BFI is the lead agency for film in the UK. The BFI Film Fund has a number of funding strands, investing over £26m of Lottery funds per year to support film development, production and distribution activity in the UK. Film4 is Channel 4’s film production arm invests £15 million annually in developing and financing films for theatrical release in cinemas, working collaboratively with filmmakers and usually in partnership with other funders. How much money are they asking for? They are asking for $250,000 How much money did they make? $255,564 How many backers were there? 2712 Who is the director and why is it important? Vincent Regan as he is a first time director. How else is the project being funded? It also got funded by selling products, donations and also crowdfunding. What is the funding for? The funding is used paying the cast and crew for lighting etc... The funding also pays for the equipment. What's happened since it was funded? Everything has been filmed, it is now being edited and is going through final touches before it is produced.
