SWOT Analysis

SWOT analysis is an acronym for Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats it is a planning method used often by a business to evaluate whether it is a good idea for a project or idea they have.




Strengths: An advantage the business will have to go through with the idea and tells them what will be positive about it.




Weaknesses: Factors that could put the business in a position with a disadvantage and gives negatives of the idea.


Opportunities: Things that could give the business a potential advantage.




Threats: Things that could cause problems for the project and put it at risk






Strengths
·         They are 100% sure on their target audience
·         Working within a well-established company will mean that you would have help from good professionals that have a good knowledge of that side of the business.
Weaknesses
·         4 months until the game is due to be published which may mean some aspects will have to get rushed and fixed in update if goes wrongs
·         Only 3 weeks for pre-production means it will have to be rushed
·         Not all of the target audience will have a handheld device  
Opportunities
·         There is a gap in the market for that game
·         They could collaborate with the companies on more apps
·         Making the app available on touch screen devices make it easily accessible
Threats
·         Their target audience are known for not being responsible so could drop device
·         Could be competitors they don’t know about
